GEAPS/K–State Grain Elevator Managers Course

Course Description

The GEAPS/K-State Grain Elevator Managers course benefits individuals who are responsible for supervising grain managers. The course focuses on the science behind the practices used in grain management. It provides new managers with the information they need to correctly interpret the experiences they will have when managing grain quality, and the insight they will require when evaluating the practices used by their predecessors. Course topics include personnel management; grain quality management; grain handling equipment; grain drying; grain operations costs; grain inventory management; grain receiving and shipping; grain condition monitoring; grain aeration strategies; and fumigation. 

Who Should Attend

Industry professionals who work in operations, procurement, management or other grain holding roles.

Registration Information

There will be two offerings for this course: January 21-24, 2020 and May 5-8. 2020. The course fee is $670.00 for GEAPS members and $1,000 for non-GEAPS members person. This fee includes textbook and all instructional material, three lunches, and certificate of completion. Housing and other meals are not included.

The IGP Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses if minimum enrollment numbers are not met. If a course is canceled, participants will be refunded 100% of their tuition. If a course is rescheduled, participants will have the opportunity to have 100% of their registration fees applied to the rescheduled course or receive a full refund.

Participants who wish to cancel or transfer their registration to another employee can do so for a $100 processing fee as long as notice is received at least fifteen days prior to the course start date. Refund requests made fourteen days or less before a course start date will be not be refunded.
