IGP–KSU Feed Manufacturing

Course Description

Topics for the course include grain storage and pest control, particle size reduction, batching and mixing, extrusion, drying and cooling, the effect of feed processing on animal nutrition, pelleting, cooling and crumbling, feed and ingredient handling, feed plant design, energy conservation in the feed mill, steam generation systems, and molds and mycotoxins.

Who Should Attend

Feed mill owners, managers, supervisors, merchandisers, equipment manufacturers, maintenance personnel and managers of livestock, poultry and agriculture facilities.

Registration Information

Course Fee: $1,200; Graduate Student Fee: $950

Register for the June 18–21, 2019 course. 

A block of rooms are reserved at the Holiday Inn at the Campus at a discount rate for IGP participants. Please contact the hotel directly (785-539-7531) and ask for Nancy Bartell to obtain the discount rate. 

 



The IGP Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses if minimum enrollment numbers are not met. If a course is canceled, participants will be refunded 100% of their tuition. If a course is rescheduled, participants will have the opportunity to have 100% of their registration fees applied to the rescheduled course or receive a full refund.

Participants who wish to cancel or transfer their registration to another employee can do so for a $100 processing fee as long as notice is received at least fifteen days prior to the course start date. Refund requests made fourteen days or less before a course start date will be not be refunded.
