Bio Brief

The IGP Institute added Omie Nivens as our new Education Coordinator in July of 2025. Omie works with other highly skilled professional staff and faculty to plan and deliver non-credit professional development courses and programs at IGP. She works with the IGP team to assist in course descriptions, manage registration data and payments, manage record keeping, develop course evaluations and communicate effectively with all involved parties. Omie comes to IGP from Illinois, where she was employed by the Univeristy of Illinois Chicago Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) where she worked with social workers, nurses, and specialists as an office administrator with the Quality Improvement team. In addition to administrative skills, she also has experience in hispitality, sales, and education.

Omie has a Bachelor of Music Technology (cum laude) from New York University and is the proud mother of two wonderful children, Ezra and Julia.

She enjoys her new role at IGP as an Education Coordinator and can;t wait to make a difference.
