Dr. Aikens investigates the binding energies and configurations of biomolecules on metal and metal oxide nanoparticle surfaces using electronic structure methods in order to provide insight into the adhesion and adsorption properties of biopolymers on these surfaces

Dr. Bhadriraju is specialized in degradation and storage change of biobased materials management of insects using elevated temperatures; effects of ultrasound on reproduction of storage moths; developing of IPM programs for the food and retail industries; model environmental effects on insect development and survival; pesticide toxicology and resistance; develop survey and sampling techniques; and develop/evaluate trapping technologies
