The Grain & Particle Processing & Safety Laboratory (GPPSL) is a dynamic research facility within the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University. Our lab is dedicated to pioneering advancements in microbial safety, particle characterization, disinfestation, and sustainable processing of grains. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as nonthermal techniques, AI-based modeling, and image processing through interdisciplinary research and sustainable approach, we integrate engineering principles and applied machine learning to contribute significantly to the field of grain science and ensure the development of safe, nutritious, and high-quality grain-based products.
