Feed Quality Assurance Lab

The goal of feed manufacturing is to produce feed that meets intended specifications. Quality control and assurance are essential in the business of feed manufacturing. The primary objectives of the Kansas State University Feed Quality Assurance Lab is to provide industry and academic partners support in determining how quality is influenced by the feed manufacturing process. Our lab specializes in measuring the following components of feed manufacturing:  

  • Particle size
  • Flowability characteristics
  • Moisture content
  • Pellet durability index
  • Mixer uniformity test
