K-STATE CAREER CENTER

K-State's Career Center is available to assist all students with their career readiness needs. The Career Center offers extensive career advising which focuses on resume/CV/cover letter development, interview prep, job search training, and networking. The Career Center also coordinates seven career fairs every year, as well as many workshops, which help students connect to employers in their own respective areas. The staff is dedicated to assisting both undergradute and graduate students in their own unique career development process. Other services and resources the Career Center offers are:

Career Closet: Provides free, professional clothing for students that you keep! (Mon-Thurs, Noon-4pm).

Interview Rooms: Book one of 12 interview rooms free of charge for mock interviews or to conduct your phone/Skype interviews in a quiet, secure place.

Photo Fridays: Come and get a free headshot taken. Perfect for LinkedIn or other professional uses. (First and Third Fridays of every month).

Resume and Interview Guide: Available in both print and electronic formats, this guide is a wonderful resource which covers all aspects of the job search process offering action verbs for resumes, commonly used interview questions (behavioral and academic), resume/CV examples, cover letter outline, and even networking tips.
