Dr. Xin Yang

Dr. Xin Yang earned his doctorate in food science from the National University of Singapore and later completed postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the mentorship of Professor Robert S. Langer, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Ana Jaklenec, a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors.
His research focuses on food as medicine, integrating advanced materials with everyday diets to address global challenges related to chronic diseases and nutrient deficiencies. His work has been supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, government agencies, and industry partners, leading to publications in high-impact journals and advances in fortified and functional foods, such as iron-fortified coffee. To date, Dr. Yang has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers, with more than 650 citations.
