Bio Brief

Dr. R.P. Kingsly Ambrose joined the Department of Grain Science & Industry as an Assistant Professor in Milling/Grain Processing in January 2012. Dr. Kingsly is teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising undergraduate and graduate students, conducting research relevant to the needs of the milling and grain processing industry, and extending his expertise through the International Grains Program. He obtained his B.S. (1996) in Agricultural Engineering, M.S. (1998) in Agricultural Processing from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India, and his Ph.D. (2010) in Agricultural & Biological Engineering from Purdue University. He was a research scientist in the Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering & Technology (CIPHET, Punjab, India) from 2001-2007, and most recently a post-doctoral Research Associate at Purdue University (2011). His expertise is in the area of grain processing, particle technology, particulate flow and materials handling, physical, chemical properties and their correlation in food and feed materials, process modeling and simulation, and food process engineering.
