The IGP Institute and AFIA are teaming up to provide exceptional educational courses designed specifically for professionals in the feed industry. The convenient distance education courses are ideal for individuals of all levels interested in gaining a better understanding of the feed manufacturing process.

AFIA/KSU 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing

The five-week course is self-paced to allow participants the freedom to work at their own allotment, while engaging in online discussions about the course material. Registrants receive instructions via email on how to access course materials within the K-State course offering system. Courses consist of narrated slide lectures, quizzes and exercises.

Developed by the feed technology group in K-State's Department of Grain Science and Industry, courses range from fundamentals to advanced topics. All course materials are based on current industry practices and standards.

Course fees, which cover all materials, are $499 for AFIA members and $685 for non-members. Registration information can be found on AFIA’s events page. There are five sessions offered each calendar year.

AFIA is offering select content from its well-respected AFIA/KSU 500, “Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing,” online course and is making it available in smaller segments online and on-demand.

Employees will be able sign up for and take any of the available courses at a time that best fits their schedules. The modules include narrated presentations and knowledge checks. Participants will receive a certificate of completion after successfully going through the module.

Please note, once a module is purchased, the participant will have
30 days to complete the purchased module.
