Director, Bio-processing & Industrial Value Added Program within the new Grain Science & Industry Department complex,                                 2002-present
Current responsibilities include support of research programs that utilize extrusion technology to produce new products from agricultural-based raw materials; bioprocessing to convert starch, protein, and fiber into higher value, food and non-food products; and fermentation to convert ag-based carbohydrates to higher value materials. Research continues to quantify grain antioxidants and link them to cancer suppression in model animal systems.
